Christian education and spiritual formation are continuing expressions of our Baptismal covenant to grow in faith’s understanding and in the practice of our faith in the world. Our vision of Adult Education is that of Reformation being a “Learning Community” which nurtures discipleship and our stewardship of life in all members.
Monday evenings are dedicated to Adult Education opportunities, facilitated by Pastor Braaten and others. A second regular opportunity is the Adult Forum held in the Parish Hall on Sunday mornings. A schedule of topics will be published regularly on this website.
Additionally, Church of the Reformation hosts a number of special presentations in partnership with other Lutheran congregations in the area and churches on Capitol Hill.
We invite all members and visitors, not only to participate in adult education learning opportunities, but also to share ideas and suggestions for future programming as a learning community.

SMALL GROUPS STUDYING I CORINTHIANS
“. . . You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matthew 22: 37-40
This scripture is the basis for our forming small groups – to study God’s word, which enables us to grow to maturity in Christ and come to know God on a personal level, and to build relationships and support one another in becoming “The Beloved Community.”
Small groups will meet on Sundays at 9:45AM in St. John II and on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM in the Library. A new study begins every six to eight weeks. Studies so far in 2010 have been on 1 John, Marks of the Christian, an in depth study of Romans 12, and a study of Galatians. A new study on I Corinthians will begin on Sunday, September 13, at 9:45 AM in St. John's II for those who prefer Sunday mornings.
