Directions to Reformation
The church is located at 212 East Capitol St., NE in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC. The church is across the street from the Folger Shakespeare Library on East Capitol Street. It is between 2nd and 3rd Streets and just behind the U.S. Supreme Court.
The main entrance to the church is from East Capitol Street; two side entrances are on the left side of the courtyard. The entrance to St. John's is also on East Capitol Street to the left of the church. The office building is located on the right side of the courtyard. The entrance to Lower and Upper 220 is through the courtyard.
Accessibility
A wheelchair-accessible elevator is available. The entrance to the elevator is next to the church parking lot, which is located in the courtyard. The parking lot can be reached via the A Street NE driveway, or via the walkway between the church and the office.
Metrorail
Two Metro stations are located nearby, each about a 10-15 minute walk to the church.
Traveling on the Orange/Blue line? Get off at the Capitol South stop.
Traveling on the Red line? Get off at the Union Station stop.
From Capitol South: Look for the escalator and take it up to street level. You will be on 1st Street. Walk ahead toward the U.S. Capitol for 3 blocks to East Capitol St. and turn right. Walk 1.5 blocks and the church will be on your left.
From Union Station: Exit from the Main Hall of Union Station on Massachusetts Ave. and walk left toward the light at 2nd St. Follow 2nd St. approximately six blocks to East Capitol Street and turn left.
Parking
Parking is generally available on Sunday mornings in the Supreme Court lot, which is located behind the church on the corner of A and 3rd Streets, NE; in the parking circle on the West side of the Folger Shakespeare Library off 2nd Street; and on East Capitol Street between 1st & 3rd Streets. Parking in the church lot is reserved for those with physical challenges only.
By Car from Virginia
From the Route 395 North Expressway, take the 14th Street bridge to the 6th Street, SE exit. Turn left onto 6th Street and follow to Pennsylvania Ave., SE. Stay on Pennsylvania for a few blocks to 3rd Street, SE and turn right. Follow to the light at East Capitol and turn left. The church will be in that block on your right.
By Car from Maryland
Follow Route 295, which is also known as the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, (295 is Exit 2 from the Capitol Beltway, 495 South or Exit 22 from 495 North) to Pennsylvania Ave., SE exit toward Washington and turn right onto 3rd Street, SE. Follow to the light at East Capitol Street and turn left. The church will be in that block on your right.
