We are children, youth and families growing in grace, expressing our Christian faith in our lives and worship. We are sent out to serve our church, our community, our city and our world. Contact Anne Sanyi for more information, or just join us at one of our events.
Sunday School begins on Rally Day, Sunday, September 11th. Join us in the Sanctuary at 10:00 AM for a prayer before each class heads to their room. There will also be a Children's Message at the 11:00 service as well as Children's Chapel. After the 11:00 service will be a pot-luck cookout. The Luther 500 participants will be sharing their story with you. Please bring a dish or dessert to share. Drinks and brats and hotdogs will be provided.
Worship
Children are invited to join Miss Sharon upstairs in the Children's Chapel every Sunday immediately following the Gospel for a time of songs, games, and crafts that make learning the Bible lessons fun and exciting! The children will return in time to join their family for the Passing of the Peace. Additionaly, every second Sunday the children are invited to gather around Anne or the Pastor at the Chancel to participate in a children's message. Parents are welcome to come forward with young children to share in these special moments of worship and preaching. Both of these activities will resume again on Rally Day, September 11.
Readers
Youth readers are scheduled to serve on the second Sunday of each month. Please call the church office for more information, or if your child would like to read.
Acolytes
Each week, September to June, two youth serve as acolytes during the 11:00am service. This involves vesting for worship, processing, lighting the candles, handing out the offering plates and extinguishing the candles at the close of worship. Anyone third grade and above is encouraged to be trained to serve.
Presenting the Eucharistic Gifts
On the second Sunday of each month, different families bring the bread for communion at the 11:00am service. If your family would like to participate, please contact Anne.
Sunday School
Sunday school for our Pre-K through Sixth grade is from 10:00-10:45am every Sunday morning from September through May in St. John's II. We do not have class on three-day holiday weekends. All are welcome to join!
Confirmation Classes
Reformation just confirmed 5 youth on June 5th! Two more young students will be confirmed next Spring. If your child is Junior high-aged and has not been confirmed, please contact the church if you are interested in more information.
Senior High
Our Senior High youth are an incredible group of young people! We stay busy with service activities, trips, dinners, bible studies, and social events. If you have a youth in senior high, contact Anne for more information.
