Funeral Worship Bulletin

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the South Dakota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame in Lake Norden, SD, Mel’s hometown. The Hall of Fame was started by Mel’s dad in 1977 to honor the history of 100+ years of town-team amateur baseball in South Dakota. Mel worked at the Hall every time he visited, providing ideas for exhibits, tracking down artifacts, and writing copy. It was close to his heart, and over the years it has become a tourism magnet bringing visitors from all over. If you would like to contribute to this legacy in Mel’s honor, use Venmo - or send a check to
