Below are examples of previous Small Groups at Reformation. Check back soon for the Small Groups (called Community Growth Groups) that are forming for the Fall of 2023!
THURSDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY.
All are welcome to the Thursday Night Bible Study! Feel free to bring yourself, a Bible if you’d like, grab a drink of your choice and let’s explore Scripture! Contact Molly Higgins for more information.
Meeting Times: Every Thursday via Zoom at 6:30 p.m.
DC YOUTH GROUP.
St.LuthRef is our faith in action! It is the amazing combination of Confirmation and Senior High youth and adult leaders from St. Paul Lutheran Church, Augustana Lutheran, and Reformation all in DC. Doing youth group together gives all of our youth a richer experience - a chance for deeper relationships with each other and frankly, for more fun! DC Youth meets at least once a month September-May and for a summer trip! Email us if you would like to learn more.
YOUNG ADULTS.
The young adult's group meets about once a month in the evening for food and fellowship. We will also be planning quarterly "big" events, likely on Saturdays or Sunday afternoons, that can hopefully include those with non-traditional work schedules as well! Email us if you would like to learn more.
REFORMATION READS BOOK CLUB.
Join organizers Meghan Quirk & Kiri Nicholson along with monthly hosts for stimulating conversations on books like, Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again by Rachel Held Evans, How to be an Anti-Racist by Ibram X Kendi, and Sanctuary by Heidi Neumark.

SEEKING SERENITY: CONTEMPLATIVE PRACTICES.
All are welcome to our Contemplative Practice small group, Seeking Serenity. For people who are interested in developing or maintaining a contemplative practice such as center prayer, meditation, silence, labyrinth walking, journaling, or other practices. We will meet to practice and learn from each other. Email us if you would like to learn more.
REFORMATION'S GREEN TEAM.
The Green Team meets regularly to discuss ways we can be better stewards of Creation individually and as a congregation. They plan exciting projects and events. Email us if you would like to learn more.
BASEBALL LUNCH.
One of Reformation’s longest-running Small Groups, this group gathers throughout the Baseball Season to talk about the Nationals and other favorite teams.
